New to payments? These are the terms that show up across the docs, in one place.
The legal seller of your product. Your buyer pays AgentaOS, not you, so AgentaOS collects the money, charges and remits the tax, issues the invoice, and pays you out. You carry none of the tax or payment liability.
VAT charged at the rate of the buyer’s country, not yours. As your Merchant of Record, AgentaOS calculates it from the buyer’s country at checkout and remits it for you.
The EU scheme that lets one registration cover VAT across all EU countries. AgentaOS files EU VAT through OSS (via Estonia), so you never register in each country you sell to.
For a B2B sale to a VAT-registered business in another EU country, VAT shifts to the buyer, so the invoice shows no VAT. A buyer who enters a valid EU VAT ID at checkout is handled this way.
A single attempt to collect one payment. Created on its own or from a payment link. Every checkout has a checkoutUrl you send the buyer to.
A recurring charge on a card on file, billed automatically every cycle until cancelled.
An invoice is the tax document for a sale (seller, buyer, VAT breakdown), issued automatically on every payment. A receipt is the emailed confirmation the buyer gets that they paid.
The behind-the-scenes step where a completed payment becomes money in your balance, after the card or bank network clears it.
Available is money that pays out on your next payout date. Incoming is money still clearing (about 14 days for new accounts). In reserve is a small hold on newer accounts to cover refunds and chargebacks; it releases on a set date.
A portion of your balance held temporarily on newer accounts to cover potential refunds or chargebacks. It releases automatically.
Money moving from your Available balance to your bank account. Payouts run automatically twice a month.
When a buyer’s bank reverses a card payment. The disputed amount is deducted from your balance rather than paid out.
Test mode uses fake money and test cards, safe to explore, no verification needed. Live mode takes real money and unlocks after business verification (KYB).
A signed HTTP call AgentaOS makes to your server the moment something happens (like a completed checkout), so your app can react without polling.
